TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Since Apple introduces touchscreen phones called iPhone, physical QWERTY keypad a la BlackBerry started to lose its popularity. However, many still agree that typing on virtual keypad on touchscreen phones offers less comfort to type fast and accurately. To revive the nostalgic typing on physical keypad in Indonesia, Smartfren features the QWERTY pad on their latest smartphone Andromax G2 Touch Qwerty.
"The phone comes with two accessibility options: 3.5-inch touch screen and QWERT keyboard," said Deputy CEO Smartfren Djoko Tata Ibrahim during the product launch last Monday.
Andromax G2 Touch Qwerty becomes the first in Smartfren family that features the QWERTY keyboard.
"For those who like to use phones for chatting, QWERTY keyboard helps to avoid mistyping," Sukaca Purwokardjono, the Smartfren Head of Smartphone, promoting his product.
"The keypad is designed as comfortable as possible. The keypad has been improved not less than five times."
In addition, Smartfren has planted dual-core Snapdragon processor with 1.2 gigahertz speed. To process the graphic, the phone is provided with Adreno 302 that supports the performance while giving users better and smoother display quality.
Andromax G2 Touch Qwerty has 5-megapixel rear camera with autofocus and LED flash. The 1.3-megapixel front camera is reliable to take selfies.
The phone is available on various colors such as black, red and white, for only Rp999,000.-
