TEMPO.CO, Portland - Bayern Muenchen is one-step closer to signing Liverpool's goalkeeper Pepe Reina. Bayern President Karl-Heinz Rummingge claimed that Reina will be wearing Muenchen's jersey in the next couple of days.
Rummenigge, speaking in Portland, United States, said that Reina is scheduled to take medical test and sign his contract in a few days. Muenchen reportedly sign the Spanish goalkeeper for 2.5 million pounds.
Pepe Reina has been an integral part of Liverpool for years, before spending last season on loan in Napoli. In Muenchen, Reina will be second option under the goalpost, backing up German international Manuel Neuer. Rummingge said that despite having German number one goalkeeper, Reina's presence is essential, given that Muenchen are to face several competitions ahead this season.
