TEMPO.CO, Brussels - United States President Barack Obama and four European Heads of State, namely England, France, Germany, and Italy, have agreed to impose financial sanction against Russia. In a video conference, the five heads of state agreed that Russia has been proven to support the ongoing civil war in Ukraine by supplying weapons for the separatists.
British Prime Minister David Cameron said that Russia has failed to stop the crisis by supporting the rebels. Cameron said that Russia insists on supplying weapon, amid the MH17 incident that killed 298 people. Therefore, the international community has approved the sanction package an will implement it immediately.
However, some argued that imposing the sanction will create another problem for other Eastern European countries. Other issue that might occur is the possibility of an import ban implemented by Russia against European products, which will cause a dire problem for the region's financial.
