TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - French national team coach Didier Deschamps called two debut players, Real Sociedad's Antoine Griezmann and Paris Saint-Germain's Lucas Digne for the upcoming friendly match against the Netherlands on March 6, 2014, at Stade de France.
Griezmann inclusion for the first time in the team was expected after his great season in La Liga. The winger is at the third top goal scorer list in the Spanish League with 15 goals. The player has recorded 19 goals in total from 38 caps with Sociedad in all competitions this season.
Digne's summoning was quite shocking as the 20-year-old rarely gets a chance to play this season. Deschamps preferred Digne, who has appeared in nine matches with Paris Saint-Germain, than Manchestser City's left back Gael Clichy.
Deschamps also decided to include Frank Ribery and Mamadou Sakho, although they are not fully recovered from injuries. Samir Nasri and Eric Abidal were not on the squad list.
