Astra Ready to Supply LCGC Components

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Robby Sani, Director of PT Astra Otoparts Tbk stated that all automotive component industries are ready to supply components for low cost green car (LCGC) when there is demand in the market. “We are ready to supply the components when there is mass production of LCGC cars,” he told Tempo via telephone.

Robby explained that the company will supply the components for LCGC cars through PT Pakoakuina, a company acquired by Astra Otoparts recently. PT Pakoakuina is one of the suppliers for LCGC components, specifically LCGC wheels rims.

Previously, Astra Otoparts acquired 51 per cent of PT Pakoakuina shares, which gains the company access to a new automotive component business, producing wheel rims for two and four-wheeled vehicles.
