TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Managing Director of PD Pembangunan Sarana Jaya, Yoory C Pinontoan said that Tanah Abang Skybridge still could not be used even though it would be completed entirely on Friday, November 23.

“This Friday, the bridge is targeted to be completely finished. However, it cannot be inaugurated because it is still waiting for readiness from KAI. This bridge is connected to Tanah Abang Station,” Yoory said, Tuesday, November 20.

Yoory said the inauguration would take place after KAI completed the study of the layout of the entrance or station gate. Because KAI must move the passenger gate at Tanah Abang Station to adjust the access in and out through the bridge.

“They have reviewed the access in and out of passengers through the bridge. At the end of this month, KAI will conduct a trial on their internal study,” Yoory said.

According to Yoory, his party has followed the instruction of KAI. One of them is to move the six stalls that are right in front of the station entrance. Sarana Jaya has also built toilets and prayer room requested by KAI. “We built four smart toilets for the beginning. If that is not enough, we will add it,” he said.

Yoory said the inauguration was no longer waiting for readiness from Sarana Jaya. “The inauguration is not waiting for us anymore. It is from KAI. Because waiting for their readiness regarding passengers,” he said.

Yoory said Sarana Jaya was ready to coordinate to help KAI change the layout of their facilities to adjust the Tanah Abang skybridge. KAI also wanted to move the station headroom to the rear. “If it is moved, we are ready to support,” he said.
