TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Vice Presidential candidate Sandiaga Uno expressed his concern on the exchange rate of rupiah that reached Rp15,000 per US dollar today, October 2. Sandiaga hoped the inflation would not increase the price of the staple commodity.
“This is our concern, and we hope it will not lead to the price hike of staple goods. This is another proof that our economy is fragile,” said Sandiaga Uno in a discussion at Warunk Upnormal Fatmawati, South Jakarta, Tuesday, October 2.
Sandiaga asserted that he and presidential candidate Prabowo Subianto would further prepare platforms to strengthen the economy.

“So, such the external and internal economic activity will not raise the price of the staple commodity,” he added, though reluctant to disclose the platforms.
