TEMPO.CO, Tangerang - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura II announced that beginning Saturday, September 1, its drive-thru pick-up zone services at the domestic Terminal 3 Soekarno-Hatta Airport, will operate for 24 hours.

The executive general manager of Soekarno-Hatta Airport, M. Suriawan Wakan, said this facility sought to answer users' demand for practicality.

“We see the activities of service users are increasing. Thus, we optimize this drive-thru services so they operate for 24 hours,” Suriawan said on Friday, August 31.

Suriawan said this system was similar to ordering at a fast food outlet. “So the picker does not need to enter the parking building at the terminal, whereas they usually pick up passengers on the 3rd floor of the domestic terminal's parking building,” he said.

The location of the drive-thru pick-up zone is in the form of a loop (circular), which has been adjusted to avoid congestion of the pickup flow, and then passengers can directly exit through the new exit gates.

“There is no additional parking fee for service users who use this facility,” Suriawan said.
