TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno was reluctant to comment on the accusation of giving Rp500 billion political dowry to the National Mandate Party (PAN) and the Prosperous Justice Party (PKS).

“Thank you, thank you very much,” said Sandiaga Uno at City Hall, Gambir, Central Jakarta, Thursday, August 9.

Previously, Deputy Secretary General of the Democratic Party Andi Arief explained that there was transactional politics that affected the Gerindra Party Chairman, Prabowo Subianto, in choosing Sandiaga Uno as his vice in the 2019 Presidential Election.

“I have never made an issue in my political career,” said Arief at the home of Democratic Party Chairman Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono (SBY), early Thursday.

Andi Arief said the victory in the upcoming 2019 presidential election will not be determined by money, but by the candidate figure. As a “General”, Andi said, Prabowo should understand the calculation.

“That makes me call him a cardboard general. A cardboard general is a general who doesn’t want to think about the meaning. Money is everything,” he said.

Andi Arief confirmed, in a coalition with Gerindra, his party had never betrayed. Democratic Party also never offered Prabowo a vice presidential candidate. For that, Andi claimed to be disappointed with the existence of transactional politics.

According to Andi, Democratic Party indeed refused to meet Prabowo on Wednesday, August 8. However, in the early morning or afternoon, Prabowo will meet with SBY and the Democratic Party. “We will accept,” he said.

Previously, the cardboard general’s statement to Prabowo was delivered by Andi through his twitter account. Sandiaga Uno who was asked by the journalists refused to give an answer to Andi Arief’s accusation. Sandiaga only answered, “Thank you, yes, thank you very much,” he said.
