TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - State-owned carrier Garuda Indonesia provided extra flights for large fuselage airplanes upon serving the Lombok-Denpasar route to avoid the possibility of passenger accumulation following the Lombok earthquake.
“Garuda Indonesia enacted policies to further accommodate passengers that intend to serve reschedules, reroutes, full refunds, and extended ticket validity free of charge, for those who are affected by the earthquake that hit Lombok,” said Vice President Corporate Secretary Garuda Indonesia Hengki Heriandono on Tuesday, August 7.
The policy will have an immediate effect starting from today up to Monday, August 20th, especially targeted specially for passengers that have flight schedules from August 6 to August 11.
Furthermore, Garuda Indonesia plans to increase its Lombok-Denspasar flights by three-folds, one of the flights will be served by the airline’s Airbus A330-300 unit. Garuda has also introduced a 50 percent discount for cargo flights intended for Lombok.
