Regional Election 2018; Banks in Bali to be Partially Operational

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Several banks in Bali will be accessible for the public during the Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) on Wednesday, June 27. However, Bank Indonesia (BI) representative in Bali said that the banks will not be fully operational on the public holiday.
“The services that will be operational include payment systems such as cash services, RTGs, and clearings,” said Bali’s Bank Indonesia representative Causa Iman today on Tuesday, June 26.
Meanwhile, the foreign exchange (Valas) transactions on June 27 will be dispensed and the Jakarta Interbank Spot Dollar Rate (JISDOR) will not be issued during the government holiday.
Iman explained that Bank Indonesia’s exchange rate reference will be based on the last normal day issued on June 26.
Furthermore, Head of BNI in Bali and Nusa Tenggara Eko Nugroho said BNI branches that will partially operational in Bali are BNI Denpasar, Renon, and Singaraja from 08:00 to 15:00 local time.
Meanwhile, the Bali's Ngurah Rai International Airport's BNI branch will be operational from 10:00 to 17:00.
As for Bank Danamon, the branches that will be partially operational during the 2018 Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) are the Hayam Wuruk branch and Singaraja branch.
