TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Head of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Ministry’s public relations Agung Pribadi said that there has been a rise in fuel distribution heading towards the 2018 Eid al-Fitr celebration, especially Premium fuel.

“The supply of fuel for people traveling to their hometowns is normal which means the supply is still relatively safe,” said Agung today.

Agung explained that the distribution of Premium fuel reached 38,865 kiloliters, Pertalite (22,190 kiloliters), and Pertamax Turbo (838 kiloliters). Meanwhile, public’s consumption of Pertamina Dex was recorded at 529 kiloliters, Solar (65,347 kiloliters), and Avtur (17,193 kiloliters). Meanwhile kerosene was distributed up to 1,744 kiloliters.

Previouely reported, the ESDM Minister Ignasius Jonan stated that he will evaluate the supply of Premium fuel based on the public’s demand.

Head of the Downstream Oil and Gas Regulatory Agency (BPH Migas) Fanshurullah Asa said that the agency is prepared to confirm that the fuel supply corresponds with what the government has assigned.

“If the demand for Premium stays minimal, we will surely evaluate it as what the ESDM Minister stated,” said Fanshurullah Asa.
