TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The prosecutor charged a death sentence to the leader of Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) Aman Abdurrahman based on several considerations. One of the main considerations is that the defendant is an important figure for his followers in JAD.
“We ask the panel of judges to impose death sentence [to the convict],” said the prosecutor Anita Dewayani when she read the file of demands in South Jakarta District Court, Friday, May 18.
Through the book series of tawhid material he wrote, Aman Abdurahman who is also said as the leader of ISIS Indonesia is considered courageous to convey a different understanding of tawhid by the JAD leaders in various regions in Indonesia.

In the book, Aman Abdurahman wrote that democracy and all people who embrace democracy are infidels because they do not refer to Allah's law system. As a result, the people and the government of Indonesia implementing democracy deserve to be hated.
The highlight of Aman Abdurrahman's teachings is the number of terrorist acts and bombs carried out by Aman's followers. To his followers, Aman asked them to do the amaliah (practice) according to the order of ISIS leader Abubakar al-Baghdadi.
Based on the consideration, the defendant Aman Abdurrahman alias Oman Rochman is officially charged with the death penalty.
The charge against the leader of the terrorist organization Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) was read out in today's trial at the South Jakarta District Court that was guarded by hundreds of police and army personnel.
