The indictment against the leader of terrorist group Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) was read out today at the South Jakarta district court by public prosecutor Anita Dewayani who said, “By taking the provisions in the constitution into consideration, we request the panel of judges to impose a death penalty.”

The prosecutor’s demand is based on Article 14 in conjunction with Article 6, and Article 15 in conjunction of Article 7 of Law No 15/2003 on counterterrorism. Aman is facing either death row or life imprisonment based on the two Articles.

They were the Kampung Melayu bombing, Sarinah bombing, Samarinda Church bombing, North Sumatra police headquarters terror attack, and the attack against police members in Bima, West Nusa Tenggara.

Aman Abdurrahman has been mentioned again recently since the terrorist group that he founded, Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), was responsible for the recent terror attacks in Surabaya and Riau in the past week.
