TEMPO.CO, Tulungagung - Dita Oepriarto, the man behind the multiple bombing attacks in Surabaya and Anton F, the suicide bomber in Sidoarjo, were reported to have been to the Tulungagung Prison in East Java to visit with Noim Baasyir.


According to the prison's records, Dita and Anton came there twice prior to Sunday's bombing.


Noim is the younger brother of Abu Bakar Baasyir who is serving a sentence as a terrorist convict. Abu Bakar is also serving a jail term for the same crime at the Mount Sindur maximum security prison in Bogor.

To Manap, Tulungagung Prison's warden, Noim Baasyir said that he was sad over what happened in Surabaya and Sidoarjo, and regretted the acts of terror his friend committed.


Manap said that he has three terrorism convict under his supervision in the prison: Dedi Fahrizal, Ridwan Sungkar, and Noim Baasyir. Manap said the three men often get a visit from their families.

Noim Baasyir is scheduled to be released from prison on May 21, 2019. He was sentenced to a six-year term in 2014 for his involvement in Jamaah Anshorut Tauhid (JAT), a network responsible or a number of attacks in Indonesia.
