Lawyer Sues Garuda Indonesia over Flight Delay

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - A lawyer of public cases, David Tobing, had just sued PT Garuda Indonesia to the Central Jakarta District Court. David declared Garuda to commit an unlawful act because he was harmed, was not given a snack compensation for a 70-minutes delayed flight.
David pointed to the legal basis of his lawsuit, Indonesian Transport Ministerial Decree No. 89/2015 on the Delay Management of the Scheduled Commercial Air Transport Operations Company in Indonesia.

Referring to the rule, according to David, he should get snack compensation because the Garuda plane was delayed more than 60 minutes. It should leave to Batam at 09:10, according to David, it left the parking lot (apron) at 10:20 pm and take-off at 10:45.
Previously, commenting on David’s lawsuit, Senior Manager Public Relation of Garuda Indonesia , Ikhsan Rosan stated that Garuda has compensated soft drinks based on the Minister of Transportation Regulation No. 89/2015.
