Probosutedjo to be Buried in Yogyakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Well-known businessman, and younger brother of the late President Soeharto, Probosutedjo, passed away this morning on Monday, March 26.
“He passed away at 07:00 AM Indonesian western time at the Cipto Mangunkusumo Hospital,” said one of Probosutedjo’s close friend, Arief Rachman, today.
According to Arief, Probosutedjo’s body has been taken to his house, “Yes, roughly 40 minutes ago,” he said. He further explained that Probosutedjo’s body will be taken to Yogyakarta where he will be buried.

According to Tempo’s observation, family and friends of Probosutedjo have gathered at Probosutedjo`s home.
Probosutedjo is the biological younger brother of Soeharto who shares the same mother, Sukirah. He was born on May 1, 1930, in Yogyakarta and had concentrated his life to the academic world.
Probosutedjo first started his career as a junior high school teacher at Perguruan Kita, Serbelawan, Pematang Siantar, back in 1951 before establishing several universities such as the Yogyakarta Agricultural Institute, the Business Academy in 1981, and the Mertju Buana University in 1985.
