TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) is currently attending the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit held at the international convention center in Sydney, Australia.
In the leader’s plenary session, President Jokowi together with country leaders and ASEAN government members discussed several things that are currently taking place in the world. Indonesian Foreign Affairs Minister Retno Marsudi said that the session will mainly talk about three topics.
“The first is Australia engagement, which is how ASEAN sees Australia in developing an economic partnership and on counterterrorism,” said Retno on Sunday, March 18.
Other than that, President Jokowi is scheduled to attend lunch at the Admiralty House held especially by Australia’s Governor General of the Commonwealth the ASEAN-Australia special summit members.
In the afternoon, President Jokowi and first lady Iriana Jokowi will continue their trip to Wellington, New Zealand to conduct an official state visit.
