TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Police scheduled an investigation of Jakarta Deputy Governor Sandiaga Uno on Thursday, January 18, as a witness of fraud and embezzlement case in the sale of 1-hectare land on Jalan Curug Raya, Kadu Village, Tangerang.
"Yes, the call is on Thursday as a witness to the report (case) in Krimum (Directorate of Public Criminal Investigation)," said spokesman of the Jakarta Metropolitan Police Commissioner Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono at the Jakarta Police Office on Tuesday 16 January.
The calling is for the second time after Sandiaga Uno was absent in the first call on October 11, 2017, or five days before he was sworn in as Jakarta Deputy Governor with Governor Anies Baswedan. At that time, Sandiaga Uno's attorney filed an investigation postponement on the grounds that his client was preparing for the inauguration.
The second letter was addressed to the Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan. The letter signed by Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Polda Metro Jaya AKBP Ade Ary Syam Indradi dated January 15.
The second call was sent because the Metro Jaya Police did not get an answer and certainty from Sandiaga Uno's legal counsel of attendance to be examined.
Sandiaga Uno and his colleagues were reported to the police on March 8, 2017. The reporter named Fransiska Kumalawati Susilo said the incident started in 2012. At that time, Sandiaga and his business partner, Andreas Tjahyadi, sold a stretch of land of nearly 1 hectare for Rp12 billion. Andreas is a suspect in the case of the fraud and embezzlement.
"The land has three certificates," she said when contacted by Tempo on Wednesday, January 10.
From the three certified lands, Fransiska continued, one of them is 3,000 meters belong to Djoni Hidayat. Well, the land was sold by companies owned by Sandiaga and Andreas, namely PT Japirex.
The fraud, Sandiaga Uno, and Andreas reversed the name of Djoni's land certificate to be owned by their company. In fact, according to Fransiska, if a company wants to buy a land, there must be a general meeting of shareholders (GMS). However, it did not happen. PT Japirex controls the land without going through the GMS.
"If buying and selling, there must also be AJB (deed of sale and purchase), but there is no certificate, and how it can be reversed the name to be owned by the company and then sold it? It is weird," said Fransiska questioning the process of ownership and sale of the land. "There must be something forged."
He also said, PT Japirex originally owned by Edward Soeryadjaya. The land was handed over to Edward's wife, Happy Soeryadjaya, who had died in 1992.
From Happy, the 3000 meters land area was handed over to Djoni. Besides, Edward handed PT Japirex to Sandiaga and Andreas four days after his wife's death. Sandiaga is a 40 percent shareholder of PT Japirex since 2001, while Andreas has a 60 percent since 1992.
"Sandiaga and Andreas are Edward's business associates, so they are trusted to control the company," Fransiska said.
Fransiska has tried to question this problem personally to Sandiaga Uno. However, Sandiaga did not respond. "Even my phone number is blocked," he said.
Successful team member Sandiaga Uno once said the examination plan as a witness in October ago made Sandi uneasy. He recounted Sandiaga met the Chairman of Gerindra Party Prabowo Subianto to complain. Prabowo conveys the problem to Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, Minister of Marine Coordinator who is also a Prabowo colleague.
Sandiaga Uno told to Tempo Magazine that he confirmed his meeting with Prabowo. But, Sandiaga Uno said the meeting did not discuss the cases of alleged fraud and embezzlement that dragged his name. He indirectly denied involving Luhut.
