Police Investigates Shooting on Jalan Sudirman

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Public Relations of the Metro Jaya Police Sr. Comr. Raden Prabowo Argo Yuwono said that currently, investigators are waiting for ballistic test results of a bullet shot in a random shooting on Jalan Sudirman, Jakarta on Tuesday, March 21, 2017.
"We have sent the [samples] to the forensics lab, we just wait [for the results]," Argo said at the Metro Jaya Police headquarter on Thursday, March 23, 2017.
Argo explained ballistics test is required to discover the type of weapon used by the suspect. Argo refused to comment on the allegation that the shooter was a member of the military police.
Argo added that the results will not be published to the public. "The results will be used for investigations, not for public announcement," Argo said.
Previously, Irenius Bransafsafubun (21) was shot by an unknown person on Jalan Sudirman on Tuesday, March 21, 2017. At that time, Irenius and two of his friends Rudy and Sendy, met with the suspect at Plaza Barat Senayan. Later, Irenius was involved in an argument with the suspect.
Irenius then enter his car and leave. Meanwhile, the suspect call out to his friends and immediately pursue Irenius' car on a motorcycle.
The suspect then fired on Irenius' car. "The suspect shot the victim's car four times," Argo said.
