Jakarta Gives 20 Trucks to Depok, Bekasi, Bogor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta gives 20 garbage trucks to Depok City, Bekasi, and Bogor Regency Governments. In detail, there are 10 units for Depok City and five units for Bekasi City and Bogor Regency.
The Jakarta Environment Dept. Head, Isnawa Adji, said that 20 units of garbage truck from 2013 procurement are still in great condition and feasible to use.
"For several times we grant garbage trucks to City buffer zones. Last year we also gave lease 50 units to Bekasi City," he said, Friday (2/17).
He added that good relationship with Jakarta's buffer zones will guarantee waste management in Jakarta and its surrounding to be better.
Lease Policy (Bruikleen) is refered to Permendagri regulation No. 19/2016 about Goods Management Guidance which Owned by Region. Its time period is five years and can be extended once.
"In leasing period, borrower can operate it and do maintenance for the dump trucks," he said.
Jakarta Spatial Planning and Environment Deputy Governor, Oswar Muadzin Mungkasa, explained that Jakarta indicates a good relationship with the buffer zones in handling waste and flood problems.
"This cooperation should be strengthened and help each other. This is how the regions in the headwaters helping the downstream regions to overcome pollution, decreasing the flood, and trash volume," he closed.
