TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission has imposed a travel ban on two former Garuda top executives, Hadinoto Soedigno and Agus Wahjudo, in relation to an allegation of bribery surrounding the aircraft procurement at state-owned airline Garuda Indonesia.

“We requested a travel ban to be imposed on Hadinoto Soedigno, Agus Wahjudo and Sallyawati Rahardja,” KPK spokesperson Febri Diansyah said at his office on Friday, January 20, 2017.

Hadinoto was the executive vice president of engineering and maintenance when Emirsyah Satar served as the Garuda Indonesia president director back in 2009. In 2016, he served as Citilink director, who later resigned following the drunk pilot incident.

Agus Wahjudo served as the executive project manager at Garuda back in 2012. However, Garuda spokesperson Benny S. Butarbutar said that he had never heard of the name.

“I will check that name. I’ve never heard of that name before,” Benny told Tempo.

Meanwhile, Sallyawati is a private company employee. Febri refused to reveal more details about Sallyawati.

According to Febri, the travel ban was imposed on the three individuals since the KPK would need to question them.

“We need to get information from the witnesses, because they allegedly knew about the case,” Febri explained.

Febri revealed that the KPK will schedule a questioning for the three individuals next week.

The KPK has also imposed a travel ban for two suspects in the case, namely Emirsyah and Beneficial Owner Connaught International Soetikno Soedarjo. The KPK sent the travel ban request on the five individuals to the Directorate General of Immigration of the Law and Human Rights Ministry on January 16, 2017.
