TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) officially released the application called "Jaga". This app allows the public to obtain information on public services transparently.

“What we’d like to achieve [is a] transparent public service,” says the Chief of KPK Agus Rahardjo, on Thursday, November 1, 2016.

The app can be downloaded through Play Store for Android based cellphones. This app contains four public services monitoring, which are schools, hospitals, clinics, and licensing services.

“So [you] can monitor the services conducted in district “a” or “b”, and what the requirements are, and can be monitored from the gadget, and will contain [features] watch SIMku (Driver’s license) and STNKku(vehicle registrations),” Agus said.

Agus stated that KPK only acts as a trigger. For the continuity of the report, KPK works together with the Presidential Staff Office, institutions, and also related ministries.

Finance Minister Sri Mulyani appreciates the release of Jaga. According to her, the transparency of the healthcare and education services are very important. Since those two are the agencies with the largest government funding.

“20 percent for education and 5 percent is for healthcare. Which makes observation and monitoring very essential,” Sri Mulyani said.
