Jakarta Provides an App to Arrange Garbage Trucks

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Jakarta Dept. of Sanitation provides an application to arrange the garbage truck traffic at Bantar Gebang Dump Site, Bekasi, West Java. It is aimed to prevent long queue of waste trucks.


Isnawa Adji, head of agency, said he also provides schedule of truck departure from each sub-district cleanliness section.


“It’s arranged in three shifts to avoid long queue,” he said, Wednesday (10/26).


The Global Positioning System (GPS) will be also integrated to anticipate the truck arrival. GPS is installed on each trucks.


Meanwhile, Asep Kuswanto, Head Unit of Integrated Dump Site Management for the agency, stated Bantar Gebang dump site management must be optimized maximally. It’s including the adding of heavy equipment, road repair, health clinic development, and car wash.


“It’s not maximal yet, but we’ll try our best,” he closed.
