TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) chief Agus Rahardjo said the investigation into alleged graft surrounding the purchase of Sumber Waras Hospital's land by the Jakarta administration is still ongoing.

"[The investigation into] the case is not stopped yet," Agus said in Makassar, South Sulawesi, on Monday, October 24, 2016.

Agus explained that KPK investigators are still looking for similar cases to be compared with the graft case. The KPK had also invited experts from universities and institutions, such as the Gajah Mada University (UGM), the University of Indonesia (UI), and the Indonesian Judicial Watch Society (MAPPI).

Earlier on June 14, 2016, Agus provided a different statement clearing the Jakarta administration of wrongdoing.

"Investigators did not find violations in the Sumber Waras Hospital's land purchase," Agus said before the House of Representatives.

The KPK initiated the investigation into the case on August 20, 2015, based on an audit report issued by the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK). The BPK announced that the purchase of the land was against the procedures.

The institution viewed that the Jakarta administration purchased the land for a price that was higher than it should be. The KPK later requested the BPK to conduct another audit, which results were submitted on December 7, 2015. In the audit report, the BPK once again concluded that the land price was too high, which cause a potential state losses of Rp 191 billion (US$14.7 million).
