TEMPO.CO, Bekasi - The Indonesia Police Force's Special Detachment 88 have apprehended an alleged terrorist in Bekasi on Wednesday, September 28, 2016.
Bekasi Police Chief Umar Surya Fana said the arrest was done at 10.00 a.m. local time. ”We apprehended one person,” he said.
According to him, the arrest was witnessed by the local neighborhood and he confirmed that there was no set up in the arrest. “Police have confiscated a few evidence,” Umar said.
Umar added that the police involvement was to secure the location and the National Police Headquarters did the arrest.
A local resident, Jamar, 27 years old, was surprised to see the arrival of dozens of officers in full gear armed with rifles. He saw the police headed toward Agus' house and then conducted a search. Agus, the alleged terrorist, lives with his wife and their child at the house.
