BIN, Home Affairs Ministry Collaborate to Secure Election

Home Minister Tjahjo Kumolo and the head of State Intelligence Agency Budi Gunawan held a meeting in the ministry to discuss the matter. "We had a short discussion on the preparation. That is it," he said Thursday, September 22, 2016.
Budi Gunawan added that the preparation include the security and mitigating potential problems. As for the coordinator would be the General Electoral Commisions and the Watchdogs.
Meanwhile, BIN will stand to support the election. "We have law enforcement. BIN will be here to support the mechanism," he said.
As for conflict-infested areas, Budi said that BIN has coordinated with all security authorities in the regions. "All will run well," he said.
