TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Port operator company PT Pelindo II will be launching the Indonesia Port Net (Inaportnet), an integrated port information system, and the Integrated Billing System (IBS) in Tanjung Priok Port, Jakarta. "It will be launched in the near future," Pelindo II CEO Elvyn G. Masassya said on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
Elvyn said in an interview last week that the implementation of Inaportnet in Pelindo II is entering its final stage. Elvyn expected that both systems can be fully implemented in September 2016.
Elvyn explained that the Inaportnet system will enable port authorities to monitors domestic commodity and anticipate complaints related to dwelling time.
The system was initially designed to be applied in only several ports. However, Pelindo recently decided to apply it in all ports under the jurisdiction of Pelindo I through Pelindo V to provide better connectivity, and in an attempt to reduce dwelling time.
