TEMPO.CO, Kupang - Earthquake has recently been a common incident in Sumba, Lembata, and Manggarai, following a tectonic plate shifting in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
“The districts are located in tectonic thrust, therefore earthquake commonly occurs, although in a smaller scale," said Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) spokesman, Sumawan.
Earlier today, Sumawan said that earthquake has hit East Manggarai and Lembata. Manggarai was hit by a 3.7-magnitude earthequake while Lembata was hit by 4.6 magnitude earthquake.
