Sports Ministry Sets Homecoming Party for Tontowi, Liliyana

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta-Olympic gold medalists Tantowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir are set for a parade to be held today and tomorrow, August 23-24, 2016. Other Indonesian athletes who participated in Rio Olympics will also be paraded by bandros bus borrowed from Bandung city administration.
The Youth and Sports Ministry said the homecoming party for Tontowi/Liliyana and the Olympic's entourage will be held Tuesday, August 23, at 3:30 PM at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang.
Upon their flight arrival, they will be welcomed by a water salute as an appreciation of their achievements.
Thereafter, they will be welcomed by Youth and Sports Minister Imam Nahrawi, state officials and the media.
Athletes and officials will leave the airport with bandros bus. Gold medalists Tontowi Ahmad and Liliyana Natsir will be on the top of the bus.
The bus will take the entourage to the downtown via toll road, exit in Semanggi toll gate, turn at TVRI bridge, do a loop around Bung Karno Sports Complex, from Mulia Hotel they will head to the traffic light near Fairmont Hotel to FX Plaza to The Sultan Hotel to the JCC and end at the Sports Ministry office.
Wednesday’s parade will be held at 8:30 AM from the Sports Ministry office towards Gate VII of GBK Senayan to Jalan Sudirman to Jalan M.H. Thamrin and directly to the State Palace.
