Nur Rohman`s Network Terrorist Nabbed by Densus 88 in Bogor

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesia’s elite counter-terrorism unit Special Detachment (Densus) 88 has arrested a terrorist linked to Nur Rohman, the suicide bomber who attacked Solo Police Precinct. Suspected terrorist Munir Kartono was arrested at Jalan Mercedes Benz, near Gunung Putri Sector Police, Bogor on Wednesday, August 17, 2016.


Police Public Relations Division chief Insp. Gen. Boy Rafli Amar said Munir was allegedly involved in transfer of cash to fund the terror attack at Solo Police Precinct.


“He had allegedly transferred a sum of money to terrorist Ibrohim or Dwi Atmoko,” Boy said in a written statement, Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Ibrohim is one of the members of Nur’s network tasked with delivering bomb to Nur.


Boy said the funds were used to buy bomb materials. The funds had also allegedly been used by Ibrohim to deliver the bomb to Nur Rohman.


“Suspect Munir had also allegedly set up a meeting between Ibrohim and Nur Rohman in Solo,” Boy said.


Boy said Munir is a member of Jamaah Anshorut Daulah (JAD). JAD was led by Oman Abdurrahman, who is currently detained in Nusa Kambangan prison.
