Luhut Vows to End Jakarta Bay Reclamation Controvertsy

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Mere days after Luhut Binsar Panjaitan was inaugurated into his new Post of as the Defense Minister, Luhut said that he will do whatever it takes to put an end to the controversial reclamation of Jakarta Bay.
Following a meeting with President Joko Widodo as the Presidential Palace on Friday, July 29, 2016, the former Coordinating Minister for Politics, Law and Security Affairs said that there will be no contradictory statements nor policy's that could be interpreted in multiple manners relating to the reclamation project.
"There are still a lot that needs to be done, and that is just my data-style of problem-solving - no grey area," said Luhut, before adding that he is still reviewing the case and promises to find a solution once he gets to the bottom of the case. "The government will come up with a strict stance - and its' stance won't be in breach of any regulations."
"The solution also ensure to not discredit the government - and we will do whatever it takes to deliver what we have promised," said Luhut. "In this case our government's credibility is at stake."
