Oil Production at Block Cepu Reaches 185,000 Barrels per Day

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - ExxonMobil Cepu Limited (EMCL) said oil production of Banyuurip oil field in Block Cepu, East Java could range from 180,000 to 185,000 barrels on average per day in the last two months.


"Oil production of Banyuurip Cepu field can range from 180 thousand to 185 thousand barrels per day and it increases gradually," said Operations Division of Banyuurip field of Block Cepu Awang Lazuardi to Pertamina Upstream Director Syamsu Alam, who visited Banyuurip field on Friday.


When the start of production in January, he added, the amount of oil production in the Banyuurip field only reached 135,000 barrels per day.


"But then gradually it increased until it could be stable and now it ranges from 180,000 to 185,000 barrels per day in the last month," he asserted.


According to him, oil production ranges from 180,000 to 185,000 barrels per day and it is sent through the distribution pipes along 94 kilometers to ship to Crow Rimang shelter in the middle of the sea in Tuban.
