Hundreds of W. Sumatra Residents Still Displaced After Floods

TEMPO.CO , South Solok - Following floods that hit West Sumatra province, hundreds of residents in the province are still displace as their houses are still covered with mud.
"There are still residents in South Solok regency and Pasaman regency that are still on evacuation centers,” said Head of Emergency and Logistics Division of West Sumatra Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) R. Pagar Negara on Friday (12/2).
In meanting acting Head of West Sumatera BPBD Zulfiatno said around 300 residents from Mapat Tunggul Selatan district and around 200 residents from Panti district are still evacuated in evacuation centers.
Zulfianto added that BPBD has also set up disaster posts and communal kitchen to help the affected residents.
