Jokowi Inaugurates KPK New Office

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo inaugurated the new Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) office in Kuningan, South Jakarta, Tuesday, December 29. Jokowi arrived at 9am, as he was welcomed by the new KPK chief, Agus Rahardjo.
"I hope that the new building can create a new enthusiasm in eradicating corruption," said Jokowi.
Former presidents, B.J. Habibie and Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono were also seen in the new office. Other than that, Attorney General Prasetyo, Chief of Police General Badrodin Haiti, and some working cabinet ministers were also present.
The new office was built as the old KPK building were no longer able to host 1,000 employees. The new building is also equipped with prison, capable to shelter 50 graft suspects.
