TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Indonesian President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo is set to discuss peatland management with Finnish President Sauli Niinisto on Tuesday, November 3, 2015.
“We will held bilateral meeting with Finland,” Pratikno said at the State Palace complex on Tuesday.
Pratikno added that peatland management would be one of the topics to be discussed in the meeting.
“President [Jokowi] would like to learn how to manage peatlands from Finland since it’s a serious issue. So we want to address it,” Pratikno said.
According to Pratikno, other countries, such as Canada, have been successful in managing their peatlands.
