TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Mashinton Pasaribu, a member of Law Commission of the House of Representatives from the Indonesian Democratic Party of Striuggle (PDI-P) faction, filed a report on the alleged corruption committed by PT Pelindo II CEO RJ Lino and State-Owned Enterprise Minister Rini Soemarno to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
Mashinton came to the KPK's office while carrying several documents. "This is just the small package," Mashinton said at the KPK office on Tuesday, September 22, 2015.
Mashinton claimed that he has a complete report related to the suspected crime. Mashinton had also accused Lino to have presented a Rp 200 million furniture to Rini on March 2015.
Mashinton demands clarification and information concerning the gift. "The Corruption Law clearly states that government officials are prohibited to give or receive gifts," he said.
Pelindo CEO RJ Lino is currently under the spotlight for the alleged corruption at Pelindo II. Las August, Criminal Investigation Unit of the Police Headquarter had searched through Pelindo II office in Tanjung Priok in an attempt to find evidence on the suspected crane procurement fund misappropriation.
Lino has been criticized for extending the concession of Jakarta International Container Terminal (JICT) to a Hong Kong-based company Hutchison Port. JICT labor union reported a violation on the extension of the concession because it is not in accordance with prevailing laws and regulations.
