Dwelling Time Case: Official Arrested After Arrival in Jakarta

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - A suspect of Dwelling Time case at Tanjung Priok Harbor, North Jakarta, has been detained. The man is identified as Subdirectorate Capital Foreign Commerce Directorate the Ministry of Trade Imam Aryanta.


Head of Public Relations Division of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Mohammad Iqbal, said the arrest warrant have been issued today. “IM has been detain since early morning,” he said Sunday, Aug 2.


Imam was arrested shortly after investigators from Task Force Officer Metro Jaya Regional Police Department picked him up at the Soekarno-Hatta Airport last Saturday. Imam had just arrived in Jakarta after conducting a work visit to Canada.


Imam immediately underwent examination in Metro Jaya Regional Police Department, but was then decided to be detained on Sunday, Aug 2.


Previously, investigators have issued an arrest warrant towards three other suspects; non-active Director General of Foreign Commerce Ministry of Trade Partogi Pangaribuan, a temp for the Ministry of Trade with initials MU, and an outsider with initials MK.


Yesterday, investigators have set another suspect with the initials 'LC', who is suspected to be the broker for the bribery practice at Tanjung Priok harbor.
