Additional Flight Slots to be Opened for Eid al-Fitr

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Flight route from Jakarta to Yogyakarta for the upcoming Eid al-Fitr is planned to receive additional slots. Air Transport Director of the Transportation Ministry Mohammad Alwi, said that there are a number of airlines that have requested for additional flight slots.
"There are Sriwijaya Air, Citilink and Lion Air," Alwi said. Alwi added that the request have been submitted 10 days ago. Sriwijaya Air and Lion Air each requested one additional flight slot, while Citilink requested for two additional flight slots.
The Transportation Ministry said that the additional flight slots will be diverted to the Adi Sumarmo in Solo. Passengers will then be taken to Yogyakarta using land transportation.
