TEMPO.CO, Bogor - Bogor city government has banned city officials from using the city’s official’s vehicles to return to their hometowns to celebrate Eid al Fitr.

Bogor Mayor Bima Arya said that the vehicles were purchased from people’s money; thus they may not be used for private purposes.

"I will issue a circular letter to ban all city officials from using city’s official vehicles for mudik,” Bima said on Saturday (27/6).

However, this policy is in contrast to Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform Minister Yuddy Chrisnandi’s edict allowing civil servants to use official vehicles as long as the vehicles are well-maintained.
