TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Center for Reseach of Oil and Natural Gas Technology at the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resource have completed its test on a new fuel product, the Pertalite, which was recently produced by PT Pertamina. The Ministry mentioned that Pertalite have met the specification requirements in order to be released to the public.
"Now we wait for the distribution license, which currently in process," Director General of Oil and Gas of the Energy Ministry I Gusti Nyoman Wiratmadja said on Wednesday, May 27, 2015.
Pertalite has an octane level of 90, slightly higher compared to the Premium, which has an octane level of 88. However, the launching of Pertalite that was scheduled to be held at the beginning of April was postponed because Pertamina is still waiting for the Ministry's test result.
