State Budget Absorption Reaches 26 Percent

Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Sofyan Djalil, said that President Joko "Jokowi" Widodo had examined the budget absorption, which claimed to be higher compared to last year.
"By May 15, [2015] budget absorption in large ministries that represent 78 percent of the total State Budget, is already higher than last year," said Sofyan.
Sofyan said that although there were problems with the Revised State Budget, current budget absorption ratio is still in line with the government's target. Jokowi, according to Sofyan, instructed ministries to increase budget absorption because it is important to increase the purchasing power and economic activities of the people.
