TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The Sketch Walk community in Bandung allured more tourist to visit the city by holding a sketch walk event just recently. It was the first time that the monthly event invited foreign sketchers.


Total participants of the international edition of the sketching event is 310,” said the member of BSW committee, Hani Handayano to Tempo at the Gas Negara Building on Braga Street, Bandung.


There were 60 tourists from Southeast Asia and around 100 from outside Bandung. Most of them participated as sketchers in the event.


“The invitation and promotion had been spread since three months ago,” Hani added.


Sketchers were divided in groups that went around several objects such as Merdeka Building, Pasar Baru, and Bandung Town Hall to draw starting from the morning until mid day. Some even continued until dark came.


Prior to the event, the foreign sketchers were brought to visit sevearl tourism spots such as Kawah Putih (White Crater) in Ciwidey, Sate Building, and Geology Museum.
