Indonesian Movie to Be Screened in Washington, DC and New York

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - An Indonesian Movie, Negeri 5 Menara (Five-Tower Country) will have its special screening in United States on Saturday, May 18, as quoted from the twitter account @N5Mthemovie. The account also stated that the screening will take place in Indonesian Embassy (KBRI) in Washington, DC.
Negeri 5 Menara is a movie by Kompas Gramedia production in corporation with Million Pictures, an adaptation from a Ahmad Fuadi’s novel with the same title. The scenario was written by Salman Aristo, the scriptwriter for Ayat-Ayat Cinta, Laskar Pelangi, and Sang Penari. The movie, directed by Affandi Abdul Rachman, shot its scenes in various places from Ponorogo, East Java to London, UK.
The movie, premiering in Indonesia on March 1, 2012 is to be screened in New York on May 18 and in Washington DC on May 22. The movie takes on a theme about dermination, hard work, and friendship, also delivering the message that education is the key for success.
