Jokowi Departs for ASEAN Summit in Malaysia

TEMPO.CO , Jakarta - President Joko “Jokowi” Widodo had departed for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from Halim Perdana Kusuma, Jakarta, on Sunday, April 26, 2015 to attend the ASEAN Summit. Jokowi was accompanied by first lady Iriana Widodo and Cabinet Secretary Andi Widjojanto.
State Apparatus Reform Minister Yudi Chrisnandi and Jakarta Deputy Governor Djarot Syaiful Hidayat were seen escorting Jokowi to the airport.
Jokowi has been scheduled to have dinner with the head of state and ASEAN delegations at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Center at 20:00 local time.
The 26th ASEAN Summit will be opened on Monday, April 27, 2015, and the plenary sessions will be held in Kuala Lumpur and Langkawi.
