Premium Gasoline Replacement Launched in May

Even though the government has only received informal notification, Sudirman said he had approved of the launch of Pertalite as it could gradually cease the distribution of Ron-88 fuel, locally known as Premium.
Pertalite is also expected to eliminate the negative stigma of Premium, especially regarding the procurement of clean energy and allegations that Premium procurement had been non-transparent. “It is as though a special specification is made so that Premium can only be supplied by certain companies,” said Sudirman.
Pertamina marketing director Ahmad Bambang said Pertalite would be launched in May. Ahmad guaranteed that this product was better and more environmentally-friendly.
Ahmad added Pertalite would only be available in Jakarta, Surabaya, Semarang and other major cities in Java during its introduction stage.
