Jokowi Tests Bejing Airport Train

TEMPO.CO, Beijing - President Joko Widodo tested Beijing Airport Express Train from Dong Zhi Men Station to Terminal 3 of Beijing Capital International Airport.


With his entourage on his official visit to China, Jokowi began his trip from Dong Zhi Men Station as one of the stations integrated with buses.


Jokowi ride the train that was operated specially for the president and his entourage so that it would not stop at Sanyuanqiao Station as usual.


The president took the train at 10.00 local time without getting off to Terminal 3 and directly returned to Dong Zhi Men Sation.


The fast airport train can cut travel time from airport to 30 minutes faster with one train set consisting of four carriages.


The trip to the airport using the fast train can take 25 minutes and stops at Station Sanyuanqiao and ends at Terminal 3 of the airport.


Going to the airport from Beijing city center can take around one hour without heavy traffic jam.


The ticket price of the fast train is 25 yuans, or around Rp50,000cheaper than 100 yuans by taxi.


Beijing International Airport Terminal 3 was completed in 2008 for Beijing Olympics.


Bejing subway currently consists of 16 and 13 active lines.
