TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Fahri Hamzah, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives (DPR), confirmed that the DPR will not discuss the proposal submitted by the Functional Group Party (Golkar) to reorganize the party's faction in the DPR. "We cannot discuss [reorganization] because there is no official letter from the Law and Human Rights Ministry," said Fahri.

Fahri said that the DPR will only discuss the matter if it was based on a letter from the Law and Human Rights Ministry. Recently, Agung Laksono's Golkar supporter, has only submitted the list of new members of the party's faction, but yet to receive an official decree to reform the faction. As a result, the Golkar faction at the DPR will remain as it is as previously formed by Aburizal "Ical" Bakrie.

Fahri added that the DPR will remain cautious in dealing with Golkar's internal conflict and said that the DPR will only reorganize Golkar's faction after an official document has been issued.
