TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Head of Public Relation of the National Police, Inspector General Ronny Franky Sompie, was transferred to Bali to serve as the Chief of Bali Police, replacing Brigadier General Anton Charliyan.
Based on telegram that Tempo received on March 5, 2015, the Police Headquarter plans to transfer 62 police officials. "We need to have a little rotation to refresh the ranks," said deputy Chief of Police, Commissioner General Badrodin Haiti.
Among the newly placed officials is Senior Commissioner Victor Edi Simanjuntak, who serves as the new Director of Economic and Special Crime Director, replacing Brigadier General Kamil Razak. Previously, Victor helped the Police to arrest Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Commissioner Bambang Widjojanto on January 23, 2015.
Once Victor is officially inaugurated, he will be leading the investigation over Bambang's case. Victor's appointment was claimed to be against the Ombudsman recommendation, which suggested Victor's to be investigated for arresting an individual without proper order.
