TEMPO.CO, Washington - The United States and Iran have finished three days of talks over Iran's nuclear deal in Switzerland, ignoring objection from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
US Secretary of State John Kerry on Wednesday, March 4, 2015, said that him and his Iranian counterpart Mohammad Jawad Zarif, had made some progress during their talks in the Swiss lakeside town of Montreux and would resume talks on March 15, 2015.
Kerry's aides said there were some obstacles that must be overcomed prior to the March deadline, when Iran and six world powers must come to an agreement regarding Tehran's nuclear program. "There are still significant gaps and important choices that need to be made," Kerry told reporters.
According to a US official, Kerry will also hold talks on Iran's nuclear program with France, Germany and Britain in Paris on Saturday, March 7, 2015.
